Over £13,000 raised for charity

The Pop-up-Shop, a brain child and inspiring idea from The Rotary Club of Taunton was a great success. Selling bric-a-brac and promoting Rotary the shop opened in late November and recently closed as 2021 ended. The shop was also supported by a partner organisation, ‘Action for Climate Change’, and hosted a popular Santa and elves grotto which was visited by over 64 children. Rotarians, their family, friends and volunteers all contributed to raising over £13,000 for the Club’s charities, amongst which are the Conquest Centre and the Musgrove Park Hospital League of Friends.

Thanks are extended to all those who visited the shop and purchased goods ad also to those who helped out throughout the shops short life.

If you want to find out more about becoming a member of Rotary of helping out as a ‘Friend’ of Rotary, please do get in contact with the Club.
