Taunton Flower Show is back and looking for Volunteers

The Taunton Flower Show is back in business and takes place from 6th – 7th August. This fabulous event is a great reminder of all the things we have most missed during our ‘Lockdown’ year. Getting out, meeting others, attending events, viewing the amazing creations and stalls and enjoying ourselves alongside others.  Although it’s a scaled down event this year we’re sure the buzz and bustle of this much loved Flower Show will be heartily welcome.

The Flower Show organisers are keen to recruit VOLUNTEERS, so if you’d like to help out contact the organisers through the Flower Show website or email the organisers: volunteers@tauntonfs.co.uk . Alternatively contact us and we’ll pass on your contact details.

Join other organisations in Taunton and make preparations for the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations taking place in 2022.

Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee. Having acceded to the throne on 6th February 1952 when Her Majesty was 25 years old she is now the longest serving monarch. There will be year-long Platinum Jubilee celebrations throughout the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and around the world as communities and people come together to celebrate The Queen’s historic reign.

An extended bank holiday, from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June, will provide an opportunity for communities and people throughout the United Kingdom to come together to celebrate the historic milestone. Across the four days the celebrations will include public events and community activities, as well as national moments of reflections on The Queen’s 70 years of service. Taunton expects to celebrate with style.

The Rotary Club of Taunton is running a Queen’s Jubilee Forum and facilitating the exchange of ideas and event information.  Get in touch if you want to be involved by contacting Taunton Rotary.
